Based in London, but looking far afield, Continuous Tone provides a site of complex interconnectivity that supports a small group of artists who are intensely engaged in the development their practices through the medium of sound.
Each of our contributors has a designated online space within which to create and distribute new sonic art works as mixes, original compositions, documentation of live performances and commissioned works for galleries and museums. As new material is generated, our archive will grow.
A selection of our output will be released physically and digitally on the Continuous Tone label and, in parallel, distributed worldwide by Kudos and Bandcamp. We have recently created sound environments for the V&A Museum in Dundee (2020) and Art Book Fairs in Beijing and Shanghai (2022).
In keeping with all flights of the imagination, the Continuous Tone project is undertaken in a spirit of adventure and with a willingness to embrace the strange. On this journey we want to listen deeply, concentrate, and go slow.
